Dear anyone that can help me,

I have a 7GB .mkv file with a resolution of 720p. Though I can play the file in VLC Media Player, I would prefer to be able to do so in Quicktime X. Now, I do have Perian installed, and it does work, but it just lags like crazy, and it has what I would refer to as 'loading time.' So what I guess I'm really asking is this: How can I convert file (without losing any quality) to .mov or .mp4? For the past couple of hours, I have been searching for a way to do so without any luck, well, kind of. At the moment, I demuxed the MKV file in the program "MKVTools" so that I now have an audio and video stream. How can I now Muxe these back together?

Well, I hope that makes sense, and that it seems like less of a rant to you than it does to me.

I just realized that I also need to convert the DTS audio to a .mp4 compatible audio type. How can I do this?
