my 15" mbp with acd - usbs wont work

hi all,
i have a 15" mbp, 2gbram, 2ghz processor. anyway, im running dual monitors, with my 23" at 1920x1200 and my 15" at 1400x900.
anyway the usb ports on my acd dont seem too work, and i could really do with 2 spares right now.
any advice?

Is the USB plug from the ACD plugged into the laptop?

not usb, firewire. but yes, its plugged in

You need to plug in the USB cable for USB to work. Having a FireWire cable plugged in will not make USB work and vice-versa.
