my 21.5 imac just bought in Dec 2010 has thin red line down screen

While using my imac today a thin red line appeared on the screen about four inches from the left side.Anything i can try before i head for service.Tried rebooting but the line is still there when i start the imac up on the white screen so i assume its an LED problem.
Bought it on amazon so can i bring it into apple store a few miles away.I assume im still under warranty but this really sucks.Hope I dont have to send it back to amazon.

take it to an apple store and they'll fix it for u, dont stress on it.

Thanks.do I need to take all of the computer parts or just the screen?Do I need to back up my itunes library or will this not be affected in the fix?

Leave the keyboard and mouse at home. They wont need it.

Do a backup, they're not responsible for your data even if they shouldn't be touching it.

Thanks to all.Noticed that along with my red line 3/4 of the screen is darker than the other 1/4.This came along when the red line showed up.
