Today I bought 6S+ 128GB on ATT Next. During first restore from backup something went wrong and not all apps synced, and for some reason some apps were super laggy. Like if I press on address book, it would not respond at all, and then in 2-3 seconds would open it. So I decided to restore to factory setting. And once I restored I got a message from iTunes that my phone has been unlocked! Very interesting how it happened? Anyone have done the same and got unlocked message?

Looks like some one keyed in the wrong serial number when they unlocked some one else's phone

    Lol looks that way.

Someone probably entered your IMEI number by mistake when unlocking their own one.

Very interesting! Could it be locked back or if it's unlocked it's unlocked?

Thanks! The thing is I have that "famous" darkening on the screen in the lower left corner...thinking of exchanging it...but who knows if the new one will be better or not? what a gamble

na, once its unlocked, it carries over to your replacement.

It should carry over to your replacement.

They are just a tad bit easier to sell though, in my experience at least.

Bit is the keyword ;). and If you AT&T you can get it unlocked easily. Verizon is already unlocked by default so not a big deal.

Ahh...well I'm from Canada where most phones are locked and prices are leaps and bounds higher :)

SO, today exchanged my 6S+ plus due to dark spots on the screen. Got way better screen, however this one is not unlocked! So it didn't carry over!
