I've been locked out of my account, zachnelson for an hour now. Someone is attempting to brute force my account password, I keep getting emails about it.

Dear zachnelson,

Someone has tried to log into your account on MacRumors Forums with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 10.40.69.198

All the best,
MacRumors Forums

Help?

I'm guessing this has to do with the upsurge in traffic (assume arn will address this). In the meantime, creating another account is not the way to go. Please just wait until this is resolved.

That IP address listed is a private IP and must be coming from inside yours or MacRumors network. It's not routable over the Internet, so something weird is going on.
