Just a warning for everyone but I just got the AirPods 3 and I took them to gym, sat on the toilet wearing them. One came out of ear while sitting and fell inside toilet. I stood up about to pick it out and the toilet sensor flushed it down as I stood.

I attempted to workout with one airpod and it kept falling out. I went outside and it fell off, bouncing on the sidewalk and landed an inch from the sewer drain.

These AirPods were literally money flushed down the toilet.

Beats Fit Pro is the answer.
I have both, and the Beats Fit Pro is perfect for workouts. You can do somersaults with these things (as long as the ear hooks fit into your ear properly).
Has same functionality as AirPods Pro and excellent sound quality, better than AirPods 3.

I sold my AirPods 3 as well because of this problem. They do not fit everyone’s ears. and yes I had them in right. They literally fall out if I just shake my head yes to someone.

I barely use mine because of this. Lucky for me I work out at home these days so I get to pick the music and have it on the home theater system but I use them when I sit in any public space and they just don’t fit as well as the gens 1&2.

Hysterical!
Sorry................ but hysterical.
I had a roommate once that got drunk, threw up in the toilet, flushed it, and AWAY went his false teeth!
Dude was VERY sad.

so I called AppleCare to see if they can help me out since nowhere in there instructions did it say how to put them on or that they may fall off while sitting. and they asked if I had bought Apple Care +. I said no that I jsut got them and didnt get a chance to purchase. She hinted that if I had apple care + she could help me out but in this case nothing she can do. So I suspect that Apple really favors people who buy their warranty and even though they dont replace lost items, they will maybe bend the rules. If you dont buy their warranty, begone peasant! So going forward im buying apple care with all the apple crap. Got it for new MacBook Pro on the spot in store because when I talked to apple care on phone inquiring about cost to replace screen, she quoted more than $1k.

I had this fear when I had a $1000 crown being put on my tooth. I had the fear that it would fall down my throat as the dentist was forcing it on.

This can happen.
As a power sports service manager and technician for 37 years, I've seen many manufacturers base a "good will" decision on whether or not the customer had purchased an extended warranty.
It's not so much a matter of "begone peasant!" as a gesture of good will after the customer has shown support and willingness to go the additional mile in ensuring the continued use, care, and maintenance of the product.

If you purchased the Airpods using a credit card, many provide Purchase Protection which gives up to 90 days coverage when the item is accidentally damaged, stolen, or lost.

Amazon credit card on Amazon?

Amazon credit card on Amazon?
The Amazon credit card doesn't cover loss, but does cover damage. I would call the number on the back of the card and see if loosing it down the toilet would constitute damage. https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=16070413011

Wow! You accidentally flushed $180.
I found a better way to make money disappear when I bought crypto at it's peak and still holding.
I have since upgraded to the Beats Fit Pro and they are way better than the AirPods in almost every way.

Only if they didn't work after you fished them out of the septic tank. o_O

I have had both the 2nd gen and 3rd gen. Neither one felt very safe in my ears. I have to constantly adjust them to the point that they give me a sore ear. I’m thinking about splurging for a pair of pro’s.

I have very small ears and my airpods just fall out without warning. This is why I now use an anti-drop lanyard. I know it is basically like a corded set of airpods but I cannot afford them to fall in the toilet. Mine almost fell in the dog water the other day and I decided then and their I am done taking chances.

Mine constantly are on the edge of falling out of my ear, no matter which rubber fitting I use. It's due to ear hair. They'll fit semi-decently when/if I shave around my ear hole, but they're never 100% planted.

I'm glad I read these posts and saw that the Beats Fit Pros are much better. Maybe I'll sell the AirPod Pros and use them to fund the Beats.

Dog water trumps toilet water! :D

I gave mine to my 11 year old stepson. He was stoked. So was I. Now I don't lose the 3rd gen airpods anymore and he doesn't have to use twice handed-down 1st gen airpods that can't hold a charge.
