I rarely on here nor hardly ever post. Been a android google phone guy for years but recently bought iPhone 6s about 2 months ago. My apple id was hacked 1 month ago. I didn't know until I was driving home about 9pm when I received a email saying my password was changed. I thought that was odd so I pulled over and didn't click any links because it could be spoofed, so I opened up a new tab and logged on. Told me wrong password. I thought that was odd, so I changed it back using recovery email. 10 mins later, got another email saying it was changed again. This happened 2 more times in a span of 45 mins. I noticed my security questions was in Chinese. Yup its hacked. I couldn't get on apple to get help because the service hrs were closed and I had to wait til it opens up about 8am next day. Only way I could stop it is by changing my apple id name. Why I'm posting this? I'm sure Im not the only one that this happened to. My apple still is messed up and is disabled. I can't download any apps but haven't had time to contact apple to get it fixed. I don't keep any nudie pics or any uncompromising stuff that can be blackmailed. Except there is a lot of financial stuff on it. You get the picture. I'm just a regular guy so I don't know how they were able to change my security questions.

I can't post on political news because I don't have 100 posts.

Also with the FBI want to have a backdoor installed on the software. Big mistake. Practically everything is on my phone but I always been protective of privacy. I had apple pay removed after this incident. I see way too many news of government and private websites being hacked by Russian and Chinese hackers.

I hate terrorists and I understand. Terrible tragedy.. BUT... my financial security is top priority. I don't want to wake up and my bank accounts are wiped out or my credit cards on apple pay maxed out because my iPhone was compromised.

I used a gmail account. Created few yrs ago when I had a ipod and ipads.

I'm posting this as a warning story and the lessons I learned that day.

How do you know when your Apple ID was hacked? You said it was 1 month ago but you only recently had your password reset/changed.
