Hey all, I'm knew to macs so...

Anyway, I have a problem, my network is set up as...

Cable to my Motorola Modem to my AirPort Extreme. [WAN] [Fixed]

From there I have a LAN ethernet to my Mac. [Fixed]

My APX Base has an IP Address of 192.XXX. [Fixed]

Also under System Prefs > Network it says "AirPort is connected to the network "X". AirPort does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet." How do I fix that?

And my ATV can find my network, and I enter in the WEP key, and I get either the error ending in (-3) or (-6), all of which state something along the lines of ATV cannot connect to the network check your settings.

    I need help. :(

You set up your network wrong.

    1. Cable Modem plugs into AirPort Extreme Base Station's WAN port (has a symbol that looks like a circle with dots).
    2. Connect your Mac to your AirPort Extreme Base Station's LAN port (all three of the other ports).
    3. Use the AirPort Utility application in your Applications -> Utilities folder to set up your network.

You don't need an Ethernet switch unless you have more than three Ethernet devices, as your AirPort Extreme Base Station has three LAN ports.

If you need more than three Ethernet ports, connect the Ethernet switch's "up-link" port and one of your AirPort's LAN ports. Some Ethernet switches have auto-sensing up-link, so you don't have to worry about that.

If for some reason you actually have a "router" as opposed to a "switch", get rid of the "router" as you don't need it.

I would read the manual on setting up your network. It's pretty informative.:

I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.11, is there any online downloads for the AirPort Utility? I don't have it on my harddrive.

Edit: Nevermind, I found one. :)
