Has anyone else experienced this? I ordered a SS model with black rubber band. Wondering if I get no plastic wrap because I chose a “customized” watch? I ordered online and picked up at store. Thanks

I’m assuming it’s either a ‘big box retailer’ or in all likeliness, Apple, since they had the item shipped directly to a physical store.
If you'd checked out one of the 3 billion AW S5 unboxing videos on YouTube you'd have noticed that the box does not come with a plastic wrap.

I only seen one watch OB sold at a store. It was on launch
I am pretty sure every watch I sold and owned was sealed, shrunk wrapped
They don't come with shrink wrap. The Apple Watch box within the "outer" box (holding the watch and strap) are sealed with the "pull here" thing on the box.
Not sealed since they customize the box with the watch and strap of your choice.

So they open the box to put the request band on the watch and not hand you a stand alone. Ceramics come with the band and sealed with the band choice separte
No. The outer box contains a watch box and a band box, both of which are sealed, but the outer box is not... Not much to seal in the outer box anyways... mostly to hold the band box and the watch box together.

The box isn’t sealed so they can add the band you choose but the actual box containing the watch and box containing the band, both within the outer wrapping band are sealed
