I recently took my Apple Watch Ultra on vacation and did a lot of snorkeling in the ocean. After snorkeling, I noticed the watch would randomly go to the screen where you could activate sos, emergency contact or backtrack. This is without hitting the action button(which I disabled). I would end up having to turn it off and on. Seemed to suppress the problem but then it kept happening every time after I went for a swim. I even stopped wearing it in the water eventually to avoid it from happening again. The last time I took a brief swim in the ocean, the screen completely shut off while I was showering off. Now, it won’t even turn on or reset, tried all of the Apple recs. Made appointment to replace the watch at the Apple store tomorrow, thankfully I purchased Apple care plus on it. I’m debating selling the replacement watch and going back to Garmin if a watch made for underwater activities can’t be worn in salt water.
