Me too, after a couple of years my old PowerBook battery had gone down to 2 hours or so. But then although batteries aren't cheap, it's not that much over 2 years to be able to use the laptop the way I like to, so I think sod it. I hate being tethered to the wall as well, especially when lounging on the sofa. :D

Mine is almost 2.5 years old, and I don't think I get much more than 90 minutes on the battery. But I agree about being tethered, a real bother. My PB is still doing what I want it to, so I'll probably get a new battery for it in the States this summer.

None of the above.

Does that make my a saint or maybe a little 'anal' about keeping things neat and tidy? ;)

I'm very anal about my machine. The only thing I do is use my notebook battery frequently, which of course isn't a bad habit, right? We should all know this by now.

Glad to see nobody uses IE. :D

But I do still run a bunch of Classic applications.

The Modern World? :D

I did check all of them- Except for IE, I don't use it not even at school (Run firefox from a flash drive:D ) I never ejpty the trash, because I always thinka document might be important... oh well.

I leave some (10) files on the desktop but i file them the next day to have moe files on there. It takes me 30 secs to clean everything up i like it nice and neat.

i am always running off the battery even near outlets...the power supply is restricting. mobility is why i got a laptop!

You forgot one poll option. Namely, leaving 248 emails in your inbox, many of them unread.

Hmmm... I'm not as bad as I used to be. The only one I'm guilty of is leaving tons of stuff on my desktop. I empty my trash regularly - so as to save space, am anal about closing apps not just windows - apple+q is your friend. I plug my laptop in most of the time, never use IE unless in Windows, switch my screen off those few moments I leave my room, my computer always sleeps - never turns off, I use passwords and never ever ever put anything on my mac.

My previous computer was a receptical for hundreds of tea mugs and plates. Nothing and I mean *nothing* has been rested on the top of my Mac Pro. Even dust gets a telling off!!

If only I was this good with my room and the floor *surrounding* my mac!!

I couldn't vote because there wasn't a "None of the above" option.
...

The poll wasn't fully-considered it seems, but I ended up voting "tons of documents on the desktop" just to vote. Having 3 applications and 21 temporary screenshots, etc., I'm not sure they are considered a tonne or not. They don't seem to weigh anything.

I checked leaving documents on the desktop. I have to use IE at school, but I don't use it at home so i didn't check it.

You should've had "Has the same password for everything" rather than no password.

Also, there should be a "Have 2043 messages" in inbox for people like me who never like to delete anything

Good call, but I've got you beat. I've currently got 1123 e-mails in my inbox (all but seven read).

That's one thing I really suffer from! 5265 messages in my inbox, 1516 unread and yes I do have like 20 folders that I sort my emails into. Grrrr... I'm crap with my emails though these days though because the sheer amounts of spam I get on a daily basis just piss me off so much that I can't be arsed with the whole email thing.

I guess I would vote for, "Close windows but do not quit apps." But I don't see why that is a bad habit. I like leaving apps open so when I go to, oh say Safari, I get an instant window instead of waiting for a second to for app to launch, then I get the window. Other than that, I guess I have no bad computer habits. :D

I have a nasty habit of letting my desktop get cluttered. I eventually clean it up, but it can get bad. I suppose I do tend to leave drinks around my tech gear, but I've never had a spill. Now, I will probably spill this tea in a few minutes all over my MacBook... :D
