Do yourself a favor and stop worrying about that. I did that when I first got my MBP and it drove me crazy. Don't worry about the battery - it will fluctuate.

thanks;) i wount worry.. :)

Batteries have a mind of their own it seems. I am currently at 97%; this morning I was 99% and yesterday I was 95%...with that said, I need to recalibrate my own battery but the lithium polymer batteries used in the MBP have minimal 'battery-memory' and tend to have longer service lives than other rechargeable batteries used in laptops.

Nick, I think the recalibrating that Apple asks you to do does nothing really for your battery physically. It merely calibrates the battery meter to your battery.

I may have worded it wrong, but I meant the fluctuation of my 'health' level indicated it needs a calibration in order to make the meter more accurate. The advanatges I listed I meant to apply to lithium polymer batteries in general.

They have no memory effect, to be exact:
Lithium ion batteries were developed in the 1970s and became commercially available at the end of the 1990s and quickly became ubiquitous in many mobile electronic devices. Their popularity grew because of their smaller size and the fact that they had no memory effect, unlike other rechargeables of the time, most notably nickel metal hydrides.

k, i just got back.. now i get 96%.. :)
As I've said many times before, both in threads and in the FAQ that I've encouraged you to read, your battery health will fluctuate up and down over time. Don't worry about it. It's perfectly normal.

Hi

Mine went from 84% back up to 93% in the space of about 4 hours yesterday so, no, don`t get too paranoid about battery health.
Keep it calibrated and follow the advice GGJ linked to, you`ll be fine.
