Hi,
I bought iPhone 13 pro max 2 weeks ago and after update to iOS 15.1 the battery was bad so I restore+downgrade to iOS 15.0.2 but still I think my battery drain
What do you think?

Thanks!

If you get 4:20 SOT with 68% left I wouldn't be complaining about battery life.. Why do you think you have a problem? Maybe you should read this thread:

Because at the first week (before I updated to 15.1 and back to 15.0.2) the battery was amazing! 3 hours screen on 90%

I, too, had the impression that the battery was worse since updating to iOS 15.0.2 and then 15.1.
So I went with a restore with an ipsw of 15.1 on my Mac and now the battery life is as it was in the beginning.

First battery test with my iPhone 13 Pro Max https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...o-max-is-utterly-insane.2313638/post-30378771

And for instance, with today’s usage and 65% battery left when the screenshot was taken:

Almost 8 hours screen on and 65%? WOW
My 5 hours and 41%

As you can see on the screenshot there is some usage from last night when the phone was charging (circled in red). It’s more or less 1h45 so it’s more like 6h of usage and 65% left.
Also I used tiktok for like 1 hour today and as you can see it’s the app that used the most energy. Safari with 1h45 of usage today used less energy (16%).

The graph and the screen on/off time shows all usage in the last 24h, whether the phone was charging or on battery.

Did you use a iCloud backup when you restored the phone. I’ve been considering this also.

No I didn’t use a iCloud backup. Restored from scratch as most of my apps already sync their data outside of iCloud backup, but in iCloud, so I retrieved all of it.

I’d like to add that the battery usage is with 5G auto. As 5G consumes more battery, with 4G only it should be even better.

Thanks. I’m getting ok battery life but compared to what some are getting it’s not as good. I mainly just use twitter, safari and YouTube. I lose about 10% battery per hour of screen time. Not sure if that’s good or not but I’ve seen some say they are getting 6-7 and not even using 40% of there battery.

The first few days I had the phone my battery life was much better until the first update after release.

So we have similar batteries?

This seems really good to me.

Had exactly the same feeling that’s why I did a restore.I did a erase all and just restored from a backup and because my computer was at work

My computer was at work so last night did a erase all and just restored from a backup just for kicks. I’m at 1hr 50min SOT at 85% battery. That’s much better than I was getting. Also had zero battery drain overnight. I was losing about 6-7% overnight.

as long as you can charget it to 100%, you are fine.
Try to turn off background app and location, also dark model will help you gain more juice
