Apple website claims that iPhone 3G battery lasts 300 hours in stand by whereas my iPhone 3G battery lasts for 12 hours at most in standby mode not doing even nothing on it. I leave home at 9am to college and come home at 5pm and battery on my iPhone is nearly dead. Is that normal?

When i use my phone for example listening to radio through the WunderRadio I will listen like 3-4 hours and then i get 20% battery message. Using email or watching movies is pretty much the same time. Listening to music on iphone battery lasts like 5 hours.

That is not push, that is fetch.

And that is why your batter is draining.

Turn off fetch and just check your email manually.

I know it isn't as instant, but man, it saves your battery big time.

Also, is it jailbroken? If so, do you have any apps running in the background that are constantly updating data?
