Hello my name is Howard,

I recently purchased an iPhone 17 Pro Max from the Apple Store after being a lifelong android user.
I sat down with the saleswoman and she helped me set up the phone, create an Apple ID, and download WhatsApp and Angry Birds.
Once I got the hang of using the phone, I left the store.

After an hour, I got a notification on my phone asking me to login to my Apple account, I forgot the exact wording.
When I entered my password, it said something like "Verification Error".

I tried to login on the website on my iPhone and it said "Your account has been locked. Enter your phone number to request access".

I did that, 24 hours later, I got an email saying my request to access the account was denied.

I tried to login on the website again, and it said my Apple account is not active.

I don't know why this has happened, I posted on Reddit but nobody knew a solution.

Please help me!

Forget that one, and create another one.

You'll need to find and download the apps again.
Thanks. I just don't know why this happened. Do you know what the chances are of this happening again?

I'll have to create a brand new email just for this.
It's really dissapointing, I've done nothing wrong 🙁

I've never known it happen, but as you're totally new to iOS / iPhones, it was probably a simple slip-up somewhere which hopefully won't happen again.

As you got someone in the store to help, they may have missed a step, or accidentally put some detail in that you didn't know.

It doesn't actually take long to create an Apple ID - just follow the instructions and it should be ok. If you get it wrong a second time, find someone who has an iPhone and get them to do it all for you! You can even go to the Apple Store again and say it messed up and can they sit with you and complete the entire process.

Your. Best bet would be to call Apple support to see if they can give you back your account.

But if you only downloaded what’s app and angry birds might not be worth the hassle.

The only thing I can think of if the salesperson typed in your Apple ID and password and you have words that have multiple spellings and they just chose the wrong spelling or if you have an accent and they assumed you said something else rather than your actual account information.

I typed everything myself, they just guided me. I filled out everything exactly as it asked me.
But even if that was the case, why would that result in an account lock? The password itself is fine and so is the email address.
