My browser crashes whenever someone talks on facebook chat

Whenever anyone chats to me on facebook chat my browser (Firefox) comes up with the spinning ball forever and I have to force quit my browser.

Any ideas what I can do to stop this happening?

Disable your extensions to see if that fixes it.

Don't use facebook chat. It's poorly developed and crashes a lot for many people.
