Hi, I discovered a charging cable eaten in half this morning due to my jerk cat, so I need to get a replacement. I'm curious, do I have to get a replacement OEM Apple charger or are there any 3rd party docks that don't require the OEM charger?

If it's the cable-with-magnetic puck, I haven't heard of third-party versions, or at least not many.

The cat problem makes me think a future fix would be Apple's UFO-like dock, if only because it uses any regular Lightning cable. The cat might try to eat the UFO, though.

What kind of cable? If it's a standard Lightning cable there are a number of good third party options on the market. I've bought a few to replace for my wife and kids devices. If it's a laptop cable go genuine. It will cost more but it probably won't catch fire, as a few of the third party ones out there have.

I think he's pretty clear on what he needs - charging cable for his watch...with that said, I have not seen an aftermarket cable, so looks like you'll have to go OEM.

If it was a lightning cable - I would recommend to go aftermarket, as I've noticed that companies like Anker make superior cables

I have yet to find a 3rd party charger for the watch, all the docks seem to need to have the puck that comes with the watch in order to work. I'm hoping that something comes out soon but it's been over a year and nothing yet.
