    Kind: Mac Server

You're right it is probably my computer coming up like that, but either way I want to get rid of it.

what machine are you on now to see the imac in finder ?
i seem to remember i may very well be wrong that a shared mac is automatically labeled mac server if there is shared service on that mac like sharing or serving files or a service might be normal not 100% about that tho

Any Mac that appears in the shared section will be labeled a "Mac Server." This is because it is serving something; files, etc.

Any shared mac will show up as a "server" because the other mac is sharing something.

More than likely you might have back to my mac running.
