I think if the low end iMac, currently at UK £799 was this:

2.1 Ghz

2GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics with 256MB SDRAM

250 GB (7200 rpm) Hard drive

That would enable me to exchange my £799 for an iMac. In fact, considering the upcoming Penryn upgrade, the only thing Apple can not deliver on is the graphics card. But knowing them, they wont :(

Peace and God Bless!

My dream iMac?
One which automatically updates the specs to the latest and to what is required to run the newest OS.
In 10 years it has evolved from a 2.4 Ghz Core Duo with 1 GB to an infinite Ghz infinite core with infinite RAM....or something like that. :)

Dang it, just give me an iMac with a kickass Nvidia card and I'll upgrade tomorrow !!

(although matching Alu Mouse, Remote, full size Wireless Keyboard, TV Card and a BluRay Drive would be nice too !! ;))
