Hey Guys,

Although I've been using macs for a couple of months now, there are a few problems i have which i dont know how to solve. Yesterday i bought a brand new 24" iMac computer, ive installed Dreamweaver CS4 and Photoshop CS4, all went well.

Upon opening the programs, all works fine, however my program interface / background is missing. So you can see whatever is open behind dreamweaver, like the desktop, or safari etc. Ive included a screenshot here:

I am fairly certain this is a Mac issue, as ive installed the same file on my windows machine, and the applications background is indeed present. Can anybody tell me how i can get my background to show up in these applications on my mac computer please?

Im using the latest version of Leopard on the iMac 24", and Dreamweaver CS4 if that helps.

Kindest Regards,
Andy MacDonald

Oh, another issue im having, whenever i click on a link on the internet, its opening in a new safari window. how do i get links to open up in the same window?

I have found the answer for Fireworks and Photoshop CS4, you go to Window > Application Frame.

But i find nothing which resembles that in Dreamweaver, any ideas?

yeah this is how Macs work. There's probably a setting to make it the windows way, but most people will tell you it's better this way.

The application frame setting can be anywhere because Adobe can't get their **** together. For all I know it might not even be in Dreamweaver because of the same reason.

I've never liked the "no application frame" look either, I don't think it works very well in a software like that when you have tons of other stuff open behind it.
