my drive is full

ok heres a shot

i have all my music on my "safedisk"as u can see.

system info also says a have a lot of audio on "os x lion".
i cannot find that audio anywhere
i do not have iTunes copying my files
i try to search "mp3" and don't know if theres a way to not search "safedisk"
and only "os x lion"

any help is appreciated! i want this off my startup disk!

There's a program called Grand Perspective, which will give you a great overview of what's on your drive and where it is. Download it and you'll instantly see where the big files are, and you can right-click them choose to show them in the Finder.

files were in a hidden folder. so with a combination of grand perspective (to locate file) and onyx (unhide folders) i got it moved and deleted! THANKS A LOT BARYON!

If they were in a hidden folder do you know what they were.

Too many people went to "clean" up their Macs only to delete important components because they failed to realize the need.

Its possible that OSX hidden that folder for a reason.

Exactly, I'm assuming there will be another post soon asking why something isn't working, "and I don't know why!".

yes it was music i had downloaded and lost before i changed the preferences of the program! all is well, thanks for the concern!
