C Cinemagic macrumors 6502 Apr 6, 2010 #3 DVDRemaster or Handbrake. Save as M4V file (for iPhone / AppleTV). Add via iTunes.
R rtmadden macrumors regular Apr 6, 2010 #5 +1 for Handbrake. The presets that currently exist should work and they'll likely add an iPad preset as well.

B BacklitFirefly macrumors 6502 Original poster Apr 6, 2010 #9 Thanks everyone. I downloaded the 32 bit versions of Handbrake and VLC. At first I think I had maybe incompatible versions, but things seem to be working now. I may have more questions if I goof up. Thanks again. 🙂
