Hi all,

Just a short post on my early views on the m1 MBP 13" vs the m1 MBP 14".

The m1 MBP 13" was my first Mac and for me it was instant love; the aesthetics, the build quality, the OS - I loved it all.

I've now upgraded to the 14" MBP (16gb, 1tb) and my first view of it out of the box was of the CD draw style vents on the side - not a great look! The vents, particularly the one on the back, make the case feel more flimsy than the 13". I also miss the "MacBook Pro" text from underneath the screen. Other than these points I love the new machine; the screen is one of the best I've used and I really do appreciate the added power when video editing.

I haven't used an Intel MacBook, only Windows, but these m1 machines are unbelievable; silent to use and remain cool on my lap - also the battery is amazing. Well done Apple!

I too miss the "Macbook Pro" underneath the display. For me the 13" just felt a touch too small. This 14" seems perfect.

It’s funny how you say the 13” is a touch too small when I see a lot of posts around the forum mentioning how great the 12” MacBook was and wishing they brought that size back
