I check online after work about 5pm cst. I see the local apple store has them in stock. Sweet! So I order one for in store pickup. I show about 5:45 and had only received an email showing my order confirmation which says available today. I showed it to the Apple employee he said you'll need to wait for a 2nd email showing my order is ready for pickup. So I walk around the mall about 30 min then go back even though I hadn't received an email. Talked to another employee she says oh we don't have those available. They won't be available for 3 weeks.

I cancel my order online then leave. So I check our other apple store which is about 30 min away, the website says they have them in stock but to be sure I call first. The employee who answers the phone says we do have the non touch available. I drive down to the store and same bs. None available won't be in for about 3 weeks.

Has anyone been able to pick one up today?

I originally ordered from the Apple Store Thursday night. This afternoon I happened to check Best Buy and they had one in stock. I picked it up about an hour ago and loving it so far. Will return the other one to Apple.

I had a very similar thing happen with the online order and local Apple Store pickup. I placed the order and three hours later it had still not been filled, so I decided to drive down to the Apple Store anyway. The employee could not find the order in their system even though the order is still sitting in Apple's system waiting to be processed. So, I was able to just purchase another one out of inventory and tomorrow I will have to call Apple to cancel the original order. The bad news is that my card has been charged for both orders at the moment, but the good news is I have the new MBP in hand.

I am just very excited to have found one in stock so I have it for the weekend...I am thrilled with it so far!

Yes, at least the one I swing by today did. I was surprised to see it as I did not expect them to have any. I was able to play with it and the keyboard felt fine.
