Hi everyone,

I recently tried a cloud Mac (Mac mini M4) for iOS and macOS development instead of buying a physical Mac.

What I liked:
  • Full macOS environment – Xcode, Docker, AI tools worked fine
  • High performance – 10-core CPU/GPU, 16GB RAM
  • Remote access – Connect from anywhere
  • Fast setup – Ready in 24–48 hours
  • Private environment – Secure & isolated

It was especially useful for short-term projects, freelancers, and testing apps without owning a Mac.

Has anyone else tried cloud Mac solutions? Would love to hear your experiences!

Curious about your “cloud Mac” spend. How many hours did you use? What was the final cost?
I was on a monthly plan around $100+. I only needed it for a short project, so I didn’t really use it continuously throughout the month mostly just for testing and development over a few days. It worked well for what I needed at the time.
