My explicit music is being censored

    First off, I'm assuming that my iTunes music is being uploaded to the cloud only for the 3 month free trial, am I right??

    Anyways, I noticed that some of my music is being censored when I play My Music from my iPhone... Well, to be honest, I've only noticed 1 song: Kendrick Lamar - King Kunta

    On iTunes it's explicit, but from my iPhone it's censored... What gives??

    For pretty much every song, there's an explicit version and censored version. You can tell by the little E next to the song. Search for King Kunta and make sure you play/add the explicit version.

    DOPEYMAN: I'm going through the SAME exact thing. I bought Kendrick's album on a CD and imported it into iTunes. It's the explicit version of the album. When I play it on my phone it's Clean. I'm not sure why this is happening and it also happens with an album Lantern by Hudson Mohawke.

    HopefulHumanist: You gotta understand that this is a known issue. This is not something that can be fixed with a setting. Apple is the issue here, not our devices.

    On Apple smartphone go to: Settings> General> Restrictions> Music and podcasts: use switcher.

    Lol not be a jerk, but everyone is telling us to do these things and none of these "tricks" work. I do not have restrictions turned on on any device. These little tricks do not work. Apple needs to come out with a fix ASAP. I was on the phone with AppleCare for 1.5 hours.

    Music app is broken totally. I do not use Apple Music and iCloud Library and… Music app does not work properly, including options like shuffling, AirPlay (but this is probably iOS 8.4 general bug), etc. The app works (at home, in car), but with just simple playing an album or playlist (but shuffling does not work, stops after a few songs even in albums or playlists with over 20 tracks). + other extra bugs. UI/UX is totally differnt topic.

    Well I was assuming you were using Apple Music, which is why I mentioned there being two versions of every song...

    Only way I've figured out how to fix this is to totally delete the song from iTunes and import the version from your CD again to iTunes.
