So i have an airdisk setup. I notice when I delete an item, it doesnt go in the trash can like it used to... And after I delete it, I don't know where my deleted item went!

I'm not sure if it's related or not, but I have a networked external drive hooked up to my Mac Mini (running as a fileserver/vpn/media center), and when I go to delete a file from the drive, it informs me that it's going to delete the file permanently, so it doesn't add it to the trash can, it just deletes it right away. FWIW, it does this when my drive is formatted with NTFS or FAT32. I have PC's on my network, so NTFS/FAT is pretty much required for me.

This is standard behavior for NETWORKED volumes. I believe the protocol (AFP/SMB) is unimportant.
