My files in finder won't auto "clean-up"

On my new Macbook Pro, when I unzip a file, I see the unzipped files literally on top of the zip file. I have to right click and hit clean up every single time. I don't have to do this on my desktop. Anyone know why? Thanks!

If you're not using icon view, it won't happen.

Actually I take it back - it *IS* set to icon view ... ?

On the Desktop, right-click and select Arrange By... and make a choice.

That's what I do every time ... I *DO* have totalfinder installed ... but I also have it on my imac .. could that at all be the problem?
