Hey guys! So for Christmas I'm getting my first ever Apple Watch! It's the series 3 with gps+ cellular. 42mm stainless steel space black. It's coming with the black sport band but I also went ahead and purchased a black stainless steel link bracelet as well. Just popping in to say hello and you all will prolly be hearing me ask questions and stuff in the upcoming days. It's supposed to arrive Friday! I'm very very excited! If anyone has any tips or anything for newbies to Apple Watch that you can only get from someone who's had one, please do let me know here!

You picked easily the best finish in my opinion. I’ve got that same model and I absolute love it! Congrats mate!!!

I plan on using the LTE and I almost opted for the silver SS but upon seeing them both on display and learning the space black has a special carbon coating to protect against from scratches I was sold on the finish. It just looks so so much sharper in my opinion than the silver. Plus I think it would look good with more band options than the silver would.

The screen just melts into the finish. It's really the best looking of the lot imho, tho you sometimes lose out on band options.

And surprisingly, you can find quite a few band options that pair with the black stainless. I thought it would be difficult as well with mine, but having brown leather/black leather bands, all different sorts of sports bands, I have two stainless steel link bands, and some nylon bands.

It seems to me with the SB SS I would have more band combos.. everything goes with black right? Lol. I dunno but all the videos and everything I've seen the SB is just absolutely gorgeous! Just checked the status. The watch is now in a UPS airport facility only 2 hours away! I'm so excited!

A lot of Apple’s leather straps have the silver stainless steel finish at the part that connects to the watch. The black goes with most things— all the sports bands and the leather loop, and Apple has Space black versions of the mill loop and the link bracelet, but it looks a little weird to me when paired with either the modern buckle or the classic leather buckle. Still, there are plenty of options and the gorgeous look of the Space black is worth it imho. But the most versatile of the bunch of def the normal stainless steel, that literally goes with anything — that is, until you scratch it :p

Having both the SS and SBSS, I agree the SS goes with more bands than the SBSS. There are more than enough bands that look good on the SBSS.

I have a question about the Apple Music integration with the series 3. I was curious if the series 3 speaker actually plays the streaming music if you don't have any Bluetooth headphones attached?

Only bands that look weird on my SSSB are the Apple tan leather band and the silver Milanese. Apart from that anything goes I think :)

I love the stealth look of the black Milanese with the SSSB. Gorgeous!
With black lugs on a tan leather band I think looks good. Silver Milanese not so

You can store music on the watch and play it back through the watch speaker but, it’s not high volume or good fidelity.

Also still have the black sports band on because I need to add a link to my stainless steel black link bracelet. I'm not confident enough to do it myself. Lol
