how is the the side of the case that protects the antenna? few more video has been up and all of the cons are about the side, its very soft rubber thus no form fitting and one report problem with the thin piece at the bottom near the port connectors? anyproblem with yours?

The part on the bottom above the plug area is really thin. It's not a problem per se, but it's annoying in that it pulls up easily

The antenna seems well protected, I have no issues with it. The sides are softer rubber than the other case I had on (rocketfish hard silicone case) but it still seems fitted pretty well. The rubber part is thin near the bottom at the port connector, but I don't even notice it.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A293 Safari/6531.22.7)

My GF got the Etch today from Apple. It's a bit mushy. There's give on the sides if you squeeze it. My Incipip NGP is much sturdier. Also the Etch has a recessed back. Not sure why, but I'm not a fan. Seems weird to have a ridge around the back.

Probably in an attempt to prevent the finish on the back from scratching as easily as if it were flush.

I actually bought the reveal.. I like it but was worried the back would scratch up since it has a plastic backing.. I left my Zagg shield on and it came off my iPhone and stuck to the back plastic cover of the case.

Those back protectors seem to stick to the back of the case. The only ones so far that doesn't have that problem are back protectors like SGP, PS, and wrapsol original.

I got notification that mine shipped yesterday. Originally, it was scheduled to ship on the 27th of August. I saw last night that it was being shipped via DHL/USPS out of California somewhere. I'm in AZ, so it should more then likely be here by the end of the week if I'm lucky!

Whoooooooo HOOOOOOOO!

Just got my griffin etch. I love it. It's not heavy or bulky, it has raised edges on the front and back. The sides are semi hardened rubber and thy feel sturdy, the back plate also feels real nice and smooth. And there is NO interference with the flash on the camera! the vibrate switch and the power button both are covers by the semi hardened rubber.

Just wanted to make a quick note - if scratches bother you, I would suggest putting a screen protector on the back. The Reveal collects a lot of dust inside the case.

Yeah

Plus one. Nice.

The sides have too much give....

I don't like it.

I'm going back to my case-mate barely there.

Can I take this to the apple store for store credit??

i dont know i think the sides are very solid when its on the phone. i dropped it on the side and nothing happend to the case or phone.

its a great case, and i highly doubt you can return a FREE case lol

the only thing i think you can do is put it on ebay or craigslist

I wonder if anyone will want to trade free cases with me. I'll check the marketplace.
