My Friend's MacBook Pro Screen Does Not Work

So my friend's Mac Book Pro screen will not come on. everything else seems to be functioning but his screen. Does anyone know what's going on with it?🙁

From that description? Yes. Exactly, in fact.

So, what? How do you know everything else "works" if the display doesn't? It could be a borked 8600M GT, but we don't know if he even has that card.

Could the OP's post be any more bland? You gave us next to nothing on information about the computer.

If you plug it into a monitor does it work? if so then it could be a loose cable to the screen or if it doesn't then it could be his graphics card.
