Not to hijack your thread, as I am genuinely interested in how you made the tank, etc., but I just finished making a few of these:

wow, love ur mini tank. pls update us when u complete it with fish, yeh.

as for mine, it took me more than 6 mths to complete this project.
have to source for a carpenter who brave enough to undertake this tricky pull-out rake & a workshop who is disparate enough to take my small job(cut-out the G5 solid alum plate). the rest(custom built tank, light & etc) get it from my reg fish shop.

both aquariums look nice ...but i miss something essential in them the applefish , a rare breed
