Strange, though. I'm up near 38th and Federal. There was a murder-suicide three doors down a few days after I moved in. A kidnapping up the street just a few weeks ago. Drug dealers living across the street. Yet somehow I feel safer in this neighborhood than I did when I lived with my parents down near University and County Line. What the poo.

Aurora HAS gotten pretty bad. Crime rate is bad because of the section 8 housing around here. I mean, I realize SOME people can't help it, but there are those who abuse the system, and they're the ones causing all of this crap. Let's not forget the stupid teenagers.

The rich live in various places in Colorado now. Aurora isn't one of them. Highlands Ranch, Cherry creek, (the independant republic of) Boulder. Westy ain't that rich either.

*sigh* Everyone thinks Colorado's a hick state. It's not. Not at all. Though, Denver isn't as "big city" as some people think. It's pretty small compared to the likes of Dallas, Chicago, Boston, etc.

Highlands pretty nice usually end up frequenting up to the Best Buy and CompUSSR over in Park Meadows. The Cherry Creek mall is damn nice been up there a few times and whew all the pretty women. What ever happened to Villa Italia (sp?) I remember it got torn down due to all the crime in the area, it just turned into a bad place over night it seemed like.

Kind of a shame though my town has more beaners per mile then Denver I bet, kind of a shame really when I don’t even feel safe in my neighborhood of mini el Salvador vs. walking around on colfax or federal.

As for hick state I dunno I see TONS of stoners in my town the hippy snowboarding stoners with dreadlocks and the stoners that are just ski bums.

I used to think the punishment should fit the crime but that helps no one really, especially not the criminal. Maybe there should be some sort of psychological torture.
