Great thing about iPhone had been it's introduction of various platforms for developing innovative ideas into usable applications. 4.0 to me had none of that. Just about all the new functions in 4.0 could have been created by various developers much earlier had the OS been more open.
This is one year that I am not looking forward to the next OS update. In fact, I am looking forward to new jailbreak exploit much more than 4.0, and I don't believe I am alone.
