I just got a new 4 and I'm seriously thinking of getting this case with a custom design. Any updates on the signal issues with the black bezel?

Also, anyone else with experiences using/not using screen protectors with this case would be great.

I ordered mine about a week before I preordered the 4S, still waiting. I'll let you know how it is when it gets here.

Please do. I'd want to know what is so different about the new black bezel. Maybe it's not made of metal anymore? In the pictures, it almost looks like it has a wood grain.

$70 for a plain case, $90 for a prefab design on back, and egads $120 or more for a custom design. Definitely not a cheap option, but IMO something that is going to be with me wherever I go needs to be beautiful and align with my eco-sensibilities. Most popular cases are ugly to me.

I've owned 2 Grove iPhone cases, and I love them to bits. So I was kinda glad when I knew I don't have to change cases for the iPhone 4s.
I put up with them breaking if dropped on hard surfaces.
I put up with them having small port holes, so I have to remove the bottom slider occasionally.
I put up with the earphones hole being small for my in-ears, by getting a Shure mic adaptor for iPhones.

I put up with all of the above because of the look and the feel of the bamboo. I've tried holding 'metal', plastic, and silicon ones. It just doesn't have the nice cosy feeling of holding a Grove. Other wood cases are bulkier than the Grove, and when you put in all the values of the Grove Team, you can't fault the quality product, manufactured with meaning, and heart.

I received my Grove car about a week ago and I absolutely love it! The feeling of bamboo is far and away superior to the glass and metal of a naked phone, and not even comparable to the plastic and silicon of my Otterbox Commuter. It does add a little bit of bulk to the phone, but it's nothing egregious.

My one issue so far has been that the headphone port is a little small, and I had to buy a new pair of headphones (Sennheiser/Adidas sports) with a small headphone connector. The case is quite a tight fit, but I managed to get my phone into the case with the screen protector from Otterbox in place.

I'll try to post pictures later, but let me know if you have any questions.

the site says the shipping is 4-6 weeks. has this been an accurate time frame for most people?

also, if anyone is selling their Grovemade iPhone 4s Plain case, i'm interested :p
