My iBook G4 is screwed up

GarageBand does not open (says its missing Quicktime content), Firefox freezes and crashes every 5-10 minutes and keyboard and trackpad do not work from time to time (not responsive at all sometimes).
What should I do?

Create a new user account in System Preferences and see if the troubles carry over. Do you have plenty of free space on your hard drive? 🙂

I have 27.8 GB(40GB Harddrive) of Harddrive space left.

There are still problems in the new user account. Should I just re-install clean?

A reinstall might help, but firstly lets look at your third party apps and peripherals. Also, do you have any third party RAM? 🙂

I have stock RAM but I have a lot of third pary apps like Google Earth, HoltPuzzle Pro, Logger Pro 3, Macromedia Suit, Marble Blast Gold, Stuffit Expander and USB Shot.

I am goint to back up right now (at 5:40 AM Minneapolis/Saint Paul Time) and re-install Mac OS X clean.

My MacBook is fine and I installed the 10.4.9 Update that was released today on the MacBook and iBook G4. Both are working good🙂.
