What was the verdict on your iBook in the end? Was it fixed or replaced?
I'm interested because I've had the exact same issue on my G3 iBook for at least the last 6 months, and with it being out of warranty and not worth a fat lot (the trackpad and firewire ports are both dead too) I'm obviously not gonna be spending huge amounts trying to fix it.

That was one of the things, what really made me smile after the keynote - great lil thing! Nice Job Steve
