My IDVD dvd is choppy and strob-like

Hi!

I've been editing on Final Cut Pro and exporting my project to IDVD after doing a high conversion (not compression). The resulting footage is choppy and strob-like with ripples throughout. I am assuming this is an interlacing issue, but cannot anyone elaborate? Thanks!
