My iMac is turning on randomly when in Sleep Mode??

So I just purchased a new iMac in August and recently it's been waking up randomly from sleep mode. I hear the machine start up sometimes, and sometimes turning on the screen in addition.

It's my first mac computer ever and I'm still learning how to use the machine so I'm not sure whether this is normal or not

Any advise will be helpful as always!! 🙂

I have a similar problem with a mini - wakes up at odd times, but always at night, so it's probably the maintenance scripts that do cleanups.

Same here...only 3 weeks old! LOL...thought I was the only one...I'm loving this machine!

My mini is almost a year old, still running Snow Leopard.
