Hey, recently my iMac keeps disconnecting from internet now and then. I think its my router (timecapsule) and not the imac itself, but I cannot be sure. But it sure is annoying. Anyone else experienced this ? Or knows what I can do to fix it? I think it may started after my latest upgrade to the timecapsule.

I had the same issue (linksys router). My xbox would do the same thing too. I fixed the DNS settings.

Bit hard to help without more information.

Can you let us know the following so we can further assist?

Is your iMac on wifi or wired to the network?
If you're on wifi, do you have a strong signal?
Is your iMac using static ip or dhcp on the network?

If you system is on dhcp, try releasing the ip and obtaining a new one or assign a static ip that is outside of the dhcp range.

For dns, you can use the ones from your ISP, I generally use the google dns's - 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Raima

Thanks for the help. Setting up googles dns and making a custom network setup seem to have fixed it. Weird tho, it suddenly just started doing that
