fixerman macrumors member Original poster Sep 7, 2010 #1 My iMac boots to the point where it has the apple logo on screen and the spinning gear. The gear stops spinning and it just stays like that forever. I have tried switching on and off a few times but it just stalls each time. Please help!😕

What version of OS X are you running on your iMac? Has any software changes been made recently (i.e. Software Update or a newly installed program)?
