My iMac's drive doesn't like DL DVDs

Hello everyone,

I have a problem and I need some expert help.
Every time I insert a DL DVD into my iMac, it ejects it after some 10 seconds.

Now I know, and it's sounds logic to me that these days iMacs (mine is 6months old) are provided with DL drives, so I assume that what i have here is software problem. I'm running OSX Snow Leopard.

I'm using DL DVDs a lot at my work, but I want to work with them also at home. If anyone had this problem before and got through, a little help will be appreciated.

Does your iMac accept video DVDs?
What kind of optical media (brand, model) are you inserting?

PS: Even my iBook could at least read DL-DVDs, though burning was limited to CD-R/Ws.

I'm inserting TDK DL DVD+R in attempt to burn ISOs on them.
My iMac reads video DVDs with no problems. Any ideas?
