I ordered mine without seeing one (space grey, 256). But from your impressions is sort of what I expected. Basically light weight and very nice screen, I'm totally in. I think perhaps I'd like a slightly bigger screen, but I'm not willing to wait 2 years when I need a new macbook now. It's all about timing, sometimes you are lucky in needs vs release and sometimes not.
 
If you aren't paying attention it's easy to fall in love with the Macbook.

You walk in and it's instant oooh's and aah's. It's very thin, disturbingly light and the screen is eye melting gorgeous.

BUT, I personally still see it as a poor value, you need a wonky adapter for any level of expandability, the camera is stone age, and it's the same price as the better Macbook Pro.

It's Apple's most beautiful laptop as it is impractical for me personally.
