MY Ipad2 quit sending notifications

My Ipad2 is on 5.1.1 and just now quit sending notifications from email and games. The only one that works is facebook. I have gone to settings-general-sounds and everything is on. I have gone to settings-notifications and have Manually marked. Mail and games are listed under In Notification Center. I have also gone to settings-general-mail and Fetch New Data is under PUSH. On the lock screen some games will notify me but no sound although under apps sound is on. Am I missing something? Seems strange it worked fine last week and now nothing especially since I didn't adjust anything. BAFFLED!! Thanks in advance!

Do a reset(hold the home/power buttons at the same time). That usually sets everything right again

Nope, did not work. I also backed up my ipad and did a restore to original setting and still nothing.
