With talk of the 3G iPhone ramping up, I thought I'd put together a list of improvements I'd love to see to the software. I should mention almost all of the features listed below were things I could do on my Treo 650 which I purchased 2 years ago that I cannot do on the iPhone:

    1. gmail/.mac/google apps full push support - including calendar & contacts
    2. inbox option to view all inboxes on same screen - sometimes it's nice to see only one inbox at a time, but other times I'd rather seem them all on the same screen
    3. ability to change the From field to any enabled email account when composing or replying
    4. flag emails
    5. send photos from any enabled email account
    6. send emails to whole contact groups
    7. e-mail templates (especially if it could sync with templates I've created in the desktop version of Mail)
    8. call blocking of select contacts or contract groups (e.g. the boss!)
    9. add events to specific calendars
    10. add contracts to specific groups
    11. RSS reader app with notifier counter (e.g. sms red number count) on the home screen

It's a sticky. It's at the top of the iPhone forum threads. It's called
"Sticky: Let's compile a list of features/upgrades/fixes for future SOFTWARE updates.". Might be useful using it, instead of making another thread on the same thing. ;)
