Right, the clever man inside tells me to hold off and wait for the iPhone 4G HD or whatever it's called announcement. However, IF I want to upgrade to 3GS, I've checked 02's upgrade website and they are offering it to me but I've got to pay anything from £50 to £100 depending on the contract I go with (this is for the 16gb model btw).

Anyone had any success getting the phone for FREE but remaining on the basic £35 contract and not having to go through hoops to get it?

Thanks

OP, if I were you... I'd go for a business plan. It's far far better.

You don't even have to own a business.

For £35, you get:

600 anytime minutes
Unlimited UK texts
Unlimited data and wifi
Unlimited O2-O2 calls
Unlimited calls for up to 10 UK landlines of your choice
Choice of a free bolt on (Unlim. Landline Calls, Free 100 min anytime, My Europe Extra)

Best thing is, when it comes around to next month, you'll be able to upgrade again if you continue rolling a 24 month contract.
So it's a mid-term upgrade.

Also, the phone costs you £50.21 exc. VAT.

Better in my opinion, because you can get a new iPhone every year or whatever phone you want on O2.
