Are you jailbroken? Have you done a factory reset or a restore?
No. Not jail broken. Both done but still the same.
If you aren't jailbroken, how did you get the carrier to display as MY MAXIS? I would love to change mine, just not interested in jailbreaking it haha.
Two iPhone 5Cs in our family. Not jailbroken. No problem so far.
Have you update your phone to iOS 8.1.3?
Looks like it's from here: https://www.maxis.com.my
It's probably their carrier.
If you've completely restored it via iTunes, and set up as a new phone (no backup) and it drops half the battery in 10 minutes. Make sure you let it actually die and charge it back up.
But it sounds like a hardware problem to me. Likely a bad battery. I had one in a 4s that died at 30% or so. Not as bad as this. But I replaced it myself for $8 and it was good as new. Not a software issue.
If you have it under warranty, take it in/send it to Apple. If not, look into a replacement. It's not terrible to do yourself on the iPhone 5/5c. I've done it a few times. But I do this a lot. Perhaps a third party service place could help you out?
I highly doubt it would be the small 8.1.3 update. These things happen a lot. People with BlackBerry Q10's constantly blame the keyboard double type on a software update, but it's hardware as well. Just coincidence IMO.
That is my carrier. I'm from Malaysia I'm using Maxis.
Ah, gotcha. I am not familiar with many carriers outside of the US.
