My phone has that problem that is a common known issue with "dust" getting under the lens or something and it won't focus anymore.

The first time it happened I looked it up and they said if you tap it and shake it while its focusing it will fix it and it did for a moment but then the next day not even tapping it worked.

Now its permanently blurry.

Im on the regular cycle, not the S-cycle and I have had it over a year.

Any hope if I make a Genius appointment?

I know in the past they used to bend over backwards for something like this and would even maybe give me a new phone just because its Apple.

But now they are more mainstream and less loving lol. Anyone have any useful advice or experience on what I might be able to do to take care of this?

I have a coworker of mine whose iPhone 6 Plus had this issue where the camera would not focus at all even if you tap to focus, it just would not. Plus the phone was out of warranty, I advised my coworker to make a genius bar appointment, and the next thing was my coworker was happy that her phone got replaced without any charge. Thanks to the insight Camera Replacement Program for the 6 Plus.
