You can get an idea of how the home button looks in iOS 11.1 on the iPhone X as it seems to appear when using safari and opening either the keyboard or screenshots8175B2A9-1781-43CB-A320-5D6376CAF48D.jpeg790C4F12-8982-4F25-B1ED-71F66FEA3141.png

Ugh I swear. That’s going to be so annoying. Without question that UI element is going to interfere with some touch points in apps and obscure screen elements you might actually want to see.

Do you have an iPhone X? If not, How do you know this?
Does it show up on selfies too?

I perhaps thought they'd done it via Xcode, but then that wouldn't show up a carrier, green bar etc... And I am not sure that Apple would be permitting emulation of the iPhone X yet?

I am also intrigued to know how the OP knows that this is the status quo for the iPhone X and UI elements. :)

I’m on the beta program. Gotta get home in 2 hours and download and install 11.1. I’ll let y’all know if I have same thing.

It’s quite obvious this conclusion cannot be drawn based on beta users seeing it on their old devices. The applications will certainly be shifted up a tad to accommodate the home bar on the X.

good luck trying swiping up or entering "Space" on the keyboard.

I'm not seeing this bar no matter if I'm in Safari or someplace else. Probably a bug some are getting and others are not. I'm on the latest beta.

It seems to be a bug some are experiencing and others are not. My 7 does not have it. No idea if it's completely random or tied to certain models. Interesting non the less.

it would have been sweet if it worked on the 6s

For everyone wondering how to recreate the homebar that some people are seeing, place a phone call (to your voicemail, if you don’t want to actually call someone) and then open safari and click in the web address bar.

I can only confirm this for ios 11.1 dev beta.

Relax chief. It won’t look like that on the X. It’s not supposed to be on the space key on the key. It’s a beta bug on home button devices
