Actually it uses the same design as an 8.Don’t you mean the SE 2020? (Which uses the same design as the 7)
As far as I’m concerned, the 7 and the 8 use the same designActually it uses the same design as an 8.
Not quite. The 7 has no glass back an uses aluminum, thus lacking wireless charging. As far as I’m concerned, the 7 and the 8 use the same design
Similar, but the 8 and SE 2nd gen have a glass back where the 7 has aluminum. As far as I’m concerned, the 7 and the 8 use the same design
The default name is just iPhone, but it must have at one point been synced to iTunes that has had 6 other phones with the name iPhone synced to it. In that case it just adds a number in brackets at the end. You can actually change it to anything you want if you go to settings/general/about and click on name. Its an iPhone SE but the name is iPhone (7) - I did not put that name in - it cam that way. Its about 3 years old.
I don’t need to read anymore of this thread to know that didn’t happen.Surprise, surprise. Despite all the hoopla about the iPhone 7 not getting an update to 16 - my iPhone 7 (SE) just updated to 16.1.1 and appears to be healthy. The model number is MX992LL/A. Anyone else?
That 7 in parenthesis is *not* a model number. It is a counter. Here's a relatively recent thread discussing the issue:Its an iPhone SE but the name is iPhone (7) - I did not put that name in - it cam that way. Its about 3 years old.
